We have preparation for the convention and work to do. \nWe will select a day for our county convention to select representatives for statewide committees who have work to do on credentials\, resolutions\, and other actions. \nBe sure to check your membership in the MDP. You must be a member of the Michigan Democratic Party for thirty days prior to the state convention held in Detroit. \nHere’s the link: MDP State Endorsement Convention \nWe are currently seeking candidates for office and will report on those efforts and a workshop scheduled for March 8 at the BWLT. \nAs the weather warms\, we will be preparing for a number of actions from door-knocking to rallying. Please consider helping out our Party Building and Political Action committees. 2026 is already going to be a crucial election as we look toward the presidential election in 2028. \nWe anticipate we may have guests joining us. Once we have confirmations\, we will post those details here. So check back for that and the date for the county convention which will be coming up in March. \nWe will send out a Zoom link for the meeting in the afternoon of the day we meet. \nSee you then.

DESCRIPTION:County Committee Members take note: \nWe will be having our annual county convention to select delegates to two statewide committees essential to the MDP’s State Endorsement Convention. We will also consider drafts of resolutions that we might want to forward to the state Resolutions Committee as well. \nCheck your email if you are a member of the County committee. You will be receiving an email to announce the county convention\, which is standard for the party. \nBe sure to renew your membership if it is expiring before March 20\, 2026. You must be a member in good standing to attend the MDP’s State Endorsement Convention. \nIn accord with the MDP’s bylaws\, we must have a county convention on or before the end of the day on March 28\, 2026. \nWe will meet on March 23 at 6:30 pm on Zoom. \nBecause we have encountered saboteurs who have wished to join our meetings and then insult our members\, we will be sending that link out later in an email. DESCRIPTION:The Democratic Electors of the State of Michigan are hereby notified that by the direction of the\nMichigan Democratic State Central Committee\, the 2026 State Endorsement Convention of the\nMichigan Democratic Party will be held in Detroit at Huntington Place on Sunday\, April 19\, 2026.\nThe purposes of the MDP’s 2026 Endorsement Convention shall be to endorse Democratic\ncandidates to the November General Election in the following contests: Secretary of State\,\nAttorney General\, State Supreme Court\, State Board of Education\, Michigan State University\nBoard of Trustees\, Wayne State University Board of Governors\, and University of Michigan\nBoard of Regents. \nAll members of the Michigan Democratic Party are encouraged to attend the 2026 State\nEndorsement Convention.
