Information on Covid-19
Covid-19 is a serious virus that has already impacted Michigan in important ways, and will likely continue to do so in the near future. The St. Clair County Democrats have decided to create this archive of information on Covid-19 in an effort to keep our community as educated as possible about the virus, its spread, and its impact. The information presented here is divided into sections on sources of continuing information regarding Covid-19, answers to basic questions about the virus, and what you can do to protect yourself and your loved ones. We hope you find this information useful. This is a difficult time for all of us, and it's especially important that we don't panic and fall into hysteria. We strongly urge everyone to remain calm, to think through your decisions, and to be patient and clear-headed. We will get through this, but we will better off if everyone does their part, makes smart choices, and sacrifices a bit for the good of everyone across St. Clair County.
General Sources of Information:
There are a few resources we recommend to keep up on the latest news about Covid-19. One of the best sites you can visit is the CDC page, which has information on the basics of Covid-19, recommendations for families and businesses, an interactive map of the United States tracking the spread of the virus, and much more.
Additionally, both the Washington Post and the New York Times have made their Covid-19 sections free to access for everyone. While you need to sign in to the New York Times, you don't need to subscribe to either newspaper to access their reporting on the virus. You can log in with your Google, Facebook, or Apple login information, if you have one of those, or you can simply give the Times an email address to access Covid-19 related articles.
Finally, the World Health Organization (WHO) has a website with rolling updates from the organization about the spread of Covid-19 and ways to protect yourself.
